The Aubaine at Selfridges

The next day we visit the Oxford street area, looking for a nice place to have brunch, and we end up at the Selfridges.

Następnego dnia odwiedzamy okolice Oxford Street, szukając fajnego miejsca na brunch, i trafiamy do Selfridges.

We stop at the second floor to have our meal at the Aubaine, famous for its handing wisteria flowers. It is a lovely French Brasserie with very reasonable (as for London) prices.

Zatrzymujemy się na drugim piętrze, aby zjeść posiłek w Aubaine, słynącym z wiszących kwiatów glicynii.To urocza francuska brasserie z bardzo rozsądnymi (jak na Londyn) cenami.

We get a table at the window, and the view of London below is lovely, too. From where we sit, half of the place is basking in golden tones and the other half in cold lavender hues.

Wybieramy stolik przy oknie i widok na Londyn też jest bardzo sympatyczny. Z miejsca, w którym siedzimy, połowa restauracji wydaje się kąpać w złocistych tonach, a druga połowa w zimnych odcieniach lawendy.

Marcin’s Cesar salad and my chicken supreme with broccoli with a side of truffle and parmesan fries are delicious. Now we are ready to catch the train back home.

Tak Marcina sałatka Cezar, jak i mój kurczak supreme z brokułami z dodatkiem frytek z parmezanem  i truflami są pyszne. Teraz jesteśmy gotowi na pociąg do domu.

Gangnam

After our stop at the 2D Cafe, we headed over to Gangnam because I needed to check out my Korean school. I’ll be attending it next week, so I wanted to figure out how to get there beforehand. Finding the school was a breeze, and afterwards, we treated ourselves to a nice lunch nearby. I have a feeling I’ll be visiting that place quite a bit next week.

Po wizycie w 2D Cafe udaliśmy się do Gangnam, ponieważ musiałam sprawdzić swoją koreańską szkołę. Będę do niej uczęszczać przez kolejny tydzień, więc chciałam dowiedzieć się, jak tam dotrzeć. Znalezienie szkoły było proste, a potem zafundowaliśmy sobie miły lunch w jej pobliżu. Mam przeczucie, że będę odwiedzać to miejsce dość często w przyszłym tygodniu.

Great company and great food

After our visit to the palace, Huynu treats us to a lovely lunch where we can savour delicious food, enjoy great conversations, and unwind before we continue our adventure.

Po wizycie w pałacu Huynu zabiera nas na lunch, podczas którego możemy delektować się pysznym jedzeniem, spokojnie pogadać i odpocząć przed dalszą częścią naszej przygody.

View on the Arun temple

Lunch is at The Deck by Arun Residence. It is situated opposite the Arun temple and the view from the upper floor is simply splendid. The drinks are rather splendid, too.

Na lunch zatrzymujemy się w restauracji The Deck należącej do hotelu Arun Residence.  Hotel i restauracja są położone  naprzeciwko świątyni Arun i widok z górnego piętra jest wart wizyty. Drinki zresztą też są niczego sobie.
