After a nice if somewhat adventurous breakfast - first an eland pays us a visit, then an ostrich comes to steal Marcin’s bread - we become the cheetahs’ keepers for a day. Our first errand is to feed Bonnie, Clyde and Beauty, and we will also meet Quess, but no one enters Quess’s enclosure just yet. He is very new here and still extremely shy. He is fed in a relatively small appendix, adjacent to his big enclosure, but linked with it only via a narrow corridor. This is to make him get used to going through narrow cages and it will be useful when the need arrives for a veterinary visit. We enter the next enclosure. Bonnie, Beauty and Clyde are called from the car but we drive fast to the other edge and they have to chase us to get their food - healthy exercise comes first. Oh, cheetah in a full run is a truly magnificent view. They glide in the air, their powerful legs barely touching ground, and it only lasts a short time before they are all here enjoying their meal. Then we go for a long ride alongside the fence to check if it is not damaged anywhere. And we are done here.
Po śniadaniu z małymi przygodami – najpierw przyszedł nas odwiedzić eland (antylopa kanna), a potem struś zaiwanił Marcinowi bułkę - jedziemy nakarmić gepardy, które nie są na tyle oswojone, żeby wpuszczać do nich turystów. Bonnie, Beauty and Clyde widzą samochód i wiedzą, że przyszło śniadanie, ale nie ma lekko, przejeżdżamy koło nich i na pełnej prędkości jedziemy na drugi koniec ogromnego wybiegu. Niewiele jest rzeczy piękniejszych niż gepard w pełnym biegu i te kilka chwil, kiedy możemy się w nie wpatrywać to chyba najlepsze momenty całego dzisiejszego dnia. Kiedy gepardy skończą swój posiłek pojedziemy jeszcze wzdłuż ogrodzenia na inspekcje całego ich wybiegu. Obok jest jeszcze jeden wybieg, gdzie mieszka Quess, ale do niego na razie nikt nie wchodzi. Quess jest jeszcze zupełnie nie przyzwyczajony do swojego nowego miejsca pobytu i dostaje swoje posiłki w mniejszej klatce, połączonej wąskim przejściem z jego wybiegiem. Wszystko to po to, by nauczył się ze wąskie przejście nie jest niczym strasznym, a to z kolei będzie pomocne kiedyś, gdy będzie potrzebna wizyta weterynarza.
